The Full Monty was released by Fox Searchlight Pictures on 29 August 1997. The British Film Institute ranks the film in the top 25 of the 20th century.  It was nominated for 4 Oscars [Best Picture, Best Picture, Best Original, Score, and Best Original Screenplay] with Ann Dudley winning for her Score.

 

On stage as a musical, The Full Monty had its world premiere at the Old Globe Theatre in San Diego from June 1 through July 9, 2000.  The show opened on Broadway at the Eugene O'Neill Theatre on October 26, 2000, and closed on September 1, 2002, after 770 regular performances and 35 previews, garnering 10 Tony nominations.

 

While audiences are encouraged to enthusiastically let loose and whoop-and-holler as the gentlemen *perform*, this is not simply Magic Mike the Musical! Full of heart, at its core The Full Monty is an important story about human connections, and dynamic emotional relationships: divorced parents, stalled marriages, self-acceptance leading to budding love, and so forth.  During a crippling economic crisis in Buffalo, NY, our six heroes from vastly different backgrounds bond together as a team.  They challenge themselves, overcome obstacles, and fight perceptions, as they go ‘all the way’ to revitalize their lives.

 

Excitingly, Nocturne Theatre is ahead of the curve, as it was recently announced that the first major Broadway revival of The Full Monty will open in spring 2027 at the Todd Haimes Theatre.  Produced by Roundabout Theatre Company, it will be directed by Leigh Silverman with choreography by Connor Gallagher.

Gerry Tonella (Jerry Lukowski) is thrilled to be baring it all on stage with this beautiful group of people in his first show here at The Nocturne Theatre.  Born and raised along the San Diego/Tijuana border, Gerry has gone on to perform at several venues across Southern California and Northern Mexico including The La Jolla Playhouse, The Old Globe, Cygnet Theatre, Welk Resorts, Moonlight Stage, CECUT, Hollywood Fringe, Legoland California and the Disneyland Resort. In addition to performing, he also works as a Director and Dramatic Translator, and is proudly part of the Education Outreach team at the Geffen Playhouse in Los Angeles and The Old Globe in San Diego. David Gallic (Dave Bukatinsky) is thrilled to return to the Nocturne stage after appearing in Beauty and the Beast (Gaston), Little Shop of Horrors (Audrey II), and Hunchback (King Louis). Other favorite roles include Wizard of Oz (Lion), Assassins (Sam Byck), Hairspray (Wilbur), and Legally Blonde (Callahan). Wes Morrow (Harold Nichols) is excited to return to the Nocturne Theater as Harold Nichols. A graduate of USC with a degree in vocal performance, Wes may be recognized from previous Nocturne productions, including Cogsworth in Beauty and the Beast, Papa Shrek in Shrek, and Jacob Marley in Madame Scrooge. When he's not on stage, Wes spends his time directing the music for his two children's school musicals and cheering from the sidelines at Burbank AYSO soccer and Little League games.

Lonnie Jones III (Noah "Horse" T. Simmons) is extremely excited to be making his Nocturne debut! Lonnie is a Midwest kid from Columbus, OH and proud military veteran. He has trained with LACC Theater Academy & Berkeley Improv. Recent stage credits: The Color Purple Musical, Shrek the Musical, RENT, Twelfth Night, Sam Shepard’s True West, Theatre Movement Bazaar’s Cold War Picnic and Lucy Prebble’s The Effect. Pat Sibley (Jeanette Brumeister) Now living in Seattle, Pat is thrilled to be back in Los Angeles where she grew up in the San Fernando Valley. She left here for Seattle in 1992 to continue her acting career and the move was very successful.  In her first ten years there she did 50 shows! She did 10 National Tours playing "Mama" in MEMPHIS, "Frau Blucher" in YOUNG FRANKENSEIN, "The Wicked Witch of the West" in THE WIZARD OF OZ, "Mrs. Pugh" in ANNIE and "Aunt Eller" in OKLAHOMA!  She would like to acknowledge and thank all her Los Angeles and Southern California friends, for coming out to see this show. Tommi Jo Mongold (Georgie Bukatinsky) (they/them) is excited to return to the Nocturne stage, this time as Georgie! Kate Clarke (Vicki Nichols) is thrilled to be baring it all (emotionally, of course) as Vicki in The Full Monty! A Nocturne familiar, you may recognize her from past productions including Gingy in Shrek, the Laundress/Fanny in Madame Scrooge, and Jack’s Mom in Into the Woods. Off stage, Kate keeps busy as a voice actor in games and animation — catch her as Lepine-Pauline in Genshin Impact, Latla in Undead Unluck, Anglia in Miraculous: Stellar Force, and more. William Morrow (Nathan Lukowski) is thrilled to be playing Nathan in The Full Monty alongside his real life Dad, Wes. He previously appeared in Madame Scrooge and Shrek at the Nocturne Theatre, where he discovered his love of performing and being part of the theater community. When he’s not on stage, William stays busy practicing martial arts, playing basketball, and always has his nose in a good book. He would like to thank his family, friends, and the Nocturne Theatre team for their encouragement and support.  Once he is a teen, he hopes to be the best usher on staff!

Taylor Renee Castle (Pam Lukowski) is so thrilled to be doing her first production with The Nocturne. You may have previously seen her work as Olive in 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee or Mrs. T/Girl Bear in Avenue Q. She’s so grateful to be surrounded by such wonderful, creative, and talented people. JeanPaul Acocella (Buddy "Keno" Walsh) was born and raised in Boca Raton Florida. He attended the University of Central Florida as a hospitality major and dance minor. Working as a performer from 2010-2019 for Disney world, he had the opportunity to live and perform in Tokyo and Paris at their Disney parks as a dancer/character performer. Moving to Los Angeles in 2019 to pursue acting and modeling, he's had many opportunities to appear in different artistic endeavors, including many photoshoots, campaigns, and various film/television roles. Faith Berrigan (Estelle Genovesse) is excited to be shaking things up with The Full Monty! She was last scene as The Ghost of Christmas Past in Madame Scrooge. Other Nocturne credits include Into the Woods(Florinda), Jekyll and Hyde (Lady Beaconsfield), and various haunted entities in Meyer2Meyer Entertainment’s immersive show ‘Haunted Soirée.’ Faith is also involved in the LA clown scene and is eager to incorporate this into her work as Estelle.

Tyler Angier (Teddy Slaughter) is stoked to be back at The Nocturne for TFM!! Recent credits include Dracula (back again here this summer!) and Vice Principal Panch in Spelling Bee at Wisteria Theater. He also just directed the multi-award winning production of Reefer Madness at Wisteria, and designed the screens for their current running show, Mean Girls. Jennifer Karraz (Joanie) is thrilled to be returning to the Nocturne Theatre! She is an actor-singer-voice over artist, while her alter ego works in voice over casting. Some recent credits: The Legend of Vox Machina, Mighty Nein and Splinter Cell: Deathwatch. Some favorite previous roles: Madame de la Grande Bouche (Nocturne's Beauty And The Beast), Little Red (Into The Woods), Marian Paroo (The Music Man), Penny Pingleton (Hairspray) and Mother Abbess (The Sound of Music). Pam L. Veis (Voice of Molly MacGregor) is a Montana-based actor with a passion for creating bold, authentic performances on stage. Her recent credits include Anna Carthlege in The Harvest at the Chain Theatre in New York City (November 2025). A proud 18-year veteran of the Fort Peck Summer Theatre stage, she is thrilled to return this August as Madame Arcati in Blithe Spirit, directed by her longtime friend and collaborator, Andy Meyers.

Alonso Malik Pirio (Pianist/Bandmaster) is a Grammy Award-winning artist, thrilled to make his Nocturne Theater debut. He has conducted and played keyboards for productions including A Christmas Carol at Center Theatre Group, served as lead music transcriber for The Color Purple movie musical, and performed alongside Broadway artists including Stephen Schwartz, Alex Newell, and Julius Thomas III. Beyond the stage, Alonso is an award-winning composer for film and concert music, best known for his score to HAINT (on Hulu). He is honored to bring his love of storytelling, collaboration, and live performance to this production of The Full Monty!

Lowell Wolfe (Guitars) is a stylistically diverse guitarist, songwriter, and recording engineer based in Los Angeles. Working as a sideman and session guitarist, Wolfe has a history of performance with multiple artists including Lauren Christy, Juliana Tucker, and Stephen Schwartz. In addition to writing and recording his own material, he frequently collaborates with other musicians. He is the leader of the Los Angeles based band Wolfe., whose music can be heard on all major streaming platforms.
