Justin Meyer (Jekyll/Hyde & Director) is honored to be working with such amazing artists, cast and crew.  Originally from Vermont, Justin earned a theatre degree from Wagner College in NYC.  He performed for years as an actor/singer in shows in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee and on board cruise ships.  He recently returned to the stage as Herclue Poirot in Murder on the Orient Express at the Fort Peck Summer Theatre in Montana and as Bill in Madame Scrooge here at the Nocturne Theatre.  His directorial career began 14 years ago in L.A. as Creative Director for The Los Angeles Haunted Hayride and Great Horror Campout.  He is now co-owner of The Nocturne Theatre and Meyer2Meyer Entertainment.  He sends his love to his family and friends in Vermont, Seattle, Fort Peck, Tennessee and Los Angeles.

Cassandra Caruso (Lucy Harris, she/they) is thrilled to be making their debut at The Nocturne Theater. Cassandra’s favorite credits include: She Loves Me (Amalia Balish) Zanna, Don’t! (Roberta) Chicago (Velma Kelly) and Pippin (Featured Dancer).  When not performing, you can find them learning a new instrument or attending blacksmithing courses. Cassandra would like to thank her partner Maximillian, her best friend Haley, and her vocal coach Joslynn. Seeking representation. @thecassandracaruso

Rachel Franke (Emma Carew) is thrilled to be bringing this show to life alongside such an amazing cast and crew! Originally from Montana, she holds a BFA in Musical Theatre from the University of Arizona and was recently seen as Cinderella’s Stepmother in the Nocturne’s production of Into The Woods. Past regional credits include ‘Elle Scrooge’ (Madame Scrooge: A Christmas Carol Musical) at the Nocturne Theatre, ‘Mrs. Wormwood’ (Matilda), ‘Rita’ (White Christmas), ‘Sour Kangaroo’ (Seussical), and ‘Joan’ (Dames at Sea) at Fort Peck Summer Theatre. Rachel would like to thank her extensive support system for always
making her dreams possible. Enjoy the show!

Joe Salling (Simon Stride/Hyde Double) is a Southern California native who has been working as an immersive theater and improv actor for Meyer2meyer since the company’s inception. He has enjoyed switching things up by working together in a musical! He also wants you to know he is the nun at the start of the show.

Samantha Rose (Nellie) is a graduate from the American music and dramatic academy in NYC and a mother of 4 beautiful cats. She has been doing theater for 17 years and is extremely excited to be in her first production with the Nocturne Theater, in one of her favorite shows. Troy Dailey (Sir Archibald Proops) is an LA native who enjoys long walks on the beach, a nice Irish mule, and the simple pleasures of playing with all the doggies. Troy's first memory of being on stage is joining Van Halen during their Balance Tour. Introducing them in true rebel child fashion, the thunderous applause of the audience caused him to freeze up. Despite needing to be carried offstage by a member of the band, it was love at first fright. Favorite roles performed include: Archibald Craven (The Secret Garden), The Beast (Beauty and the Beast), The Baker (Into the Woods). Troy dedicates today's performance to his mother, who was always his biggest supporter.

Drew Maidment (Bishop of Basingstoke) is honored to be a part of this wonderful, spooky production. Drew’s Regional Theatre credits include Hair (Margaret Mead, Ensemble) and How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying (Ensemble) at the Muhlenberg Summer Music Theatre and Urinetown (Mr. Cladwell) at the People’s Improv Theatre. Drew is very excited to be returning to the stage as a horny bishop, the role he was born to play.

Faith Berrigan (Lady Beaconsfield) is thrilled to be a part of all the bloodiness that is Jekyll and Hyde. Previous Nocturne credits include Madame Scrooge (Christmas Past) and Into the Woods (Florinda). Her snarky, British aristocrat muscles haven’t been exercised since high school, so she is happy to be bringing them back in full force! She loves rollercoasters and the karate kid universe. Faith would like to thank everyone involved in the creative process.

Brendan Lynch (Lord Savage) is excited to be making his debut at The Nocturne Theater. He graduated from the University of Colorado Boulder with degrees in Musical Theater and Electrical Engineering. Brendan is currently working as a software engineer at Amazon Web Services, while moonlighting as an actor. Melissa Meyer (Choreographer) has been working with her husband Justin for the past few years to establish and manage their immersive theatrical company, Meyer2Meyer Entertainment. Together, they have had the privilege of working on immersive projects for big names such as Fortnite, Amazon, Netflix, Warner Brothers, and their own shows House of Spirits, Kaleidoscope Experience, and the Bite LA. Before her current role, Melissa was a professional dancer and performed for various regional theatres and cruise ships. She is excited to take a break from her laptop and miles of spreadsheets to pull out her dancing shoes and help bring this musical to life!

Tanya Cyr (Creature/Costume Designer) studied under various designers before landing at Meyer2Meyer Entertainment, at the company's inception.  She works year round on all their shows, designing everything from Creature Suits to Costumes.  She is originally from Santa Barbara and wishes to thank her family and friends for their constant support of her artistic adventures! Tanya wishes to dedicate this very special production to the loving memory of her Grandmother, Barbara Venezia, who was a pioneer missile trajectory mathematician in the 50's at Boeing, and fought for her place to be recognized for her achievements.  Tanya credits her own tenacity and empowerment to her.  "Thanks for letting me stick my finger in the sugar bowl, Grandma!"

Jay Michael Roberts (Scenic Designer) grew up in NW Montana, has a degree in architecture and is completing an MFA Scenic Design at the University of Montana. Shout out to Fort Peck, where he’s spent over a decade running the scene shop, and performing. Special thanks to Andy Meyers for his constant support and to Justin and Melissa for including him in this rockstar project.

Eric Marsh (Lighting Designer) is very excited to be back in California designing lights. He grew up in Torrance but now lives in Houston, Texas.  Eric has an MFA in Lighting Design from Western Illinois University. Eric is a Professor of Theatre at Sam Houston State University for the past 18 years. Some of his favorite shows are American Idiot, Rent, Sweeney Todd and Murder on the Orient Express.  Eric’s designs have been seen all over the United States.  Eric most recently designed the lighting for Madame Scrooge and Into the Woods here at The Nocturne Theatre.

Seth bartends and cooks professionally and has previously worked with Meyer2Meyer at Haunted Soiree in New York City. Seth would like to thank those who have loved him into being: his family, his friends and his teachers.

Kyle Sword (Nocturne Theatre Technician) is from Valencia, CA.  He is a retired Deputy and married father of three awesome kids.  He met the Meyer’s while working with them at The Los Angeles Haunted Hayride and has been working for Meyer2Meyer Entertainment as Head Technician since 2016, working on The Bite LA, House of Spirits, Haunted Soiree, Madame Scrooge and many other projects.

Director's Note

A Note From The DIRECTOR,

Justin Patrick Meyer

I have had the great fortune to be a part of several Jekyll & Hyde productions over the years, having played various roles in the show, from Bishop of Basingstoke to Utterson, but this will be the first time I have had the honor of taking on the titular role!  This is probably one of the most challenging vocal roles for the male singing voice and I have even more respect now for those who have tackled this role before me--this show is dedicated to them!

An even bigger challenge has been directing the show, on top of being in it.  This show has many variations and I am very pleased with the version we have been granted, but no matter what version we got, I knew I wanted to add our unique, Meyer2Meyer Entertainment touch on this show...that is to say, lots of darkness, horror and macabre! I wanted this production to feel like an old fashioned creature feature and with the amazing collaboration of Jay Michael Roberts industrial gothic sets, Tanya Cyr's gore FX and Hyde creature concept, and Eric Marsh's cold, science-fiction lighting, I feel we have achieved that goal!

I am lucky to have the chance to work alongside my wife, Melissa Meyer, whose level of genius is unparalleled.  I always say that she is the engine on the bus, the steering wheel, the frame and I…am the yellow.  Without her, nothing in my world happens.  All my love to her.

Speaking of 'genius’, of whom I surround myself, I want to give special recognition to Tanya Cyr, whose creature and costume designs give Meyer2Meyer Entertainment its distinct and original look.  We are blessed to have such a creative force on our team.

I want to thank Nolan Monsibay, Jay Michael Roberts, Eric Marsh and Matt Merline for taking on such a monumental task with such a small window of time to conquer it.  I couldn’t be happier with the look and sound of this production.  You have been a joy to work alongside.  Here’s to many more!

Finally, to my amazing Cast.  Without you, there is no show! It has been an honor and privilege to direct you..and from the bottom of my heart, I thank you.
